Building Department Permits

The City of Wickliffe is pleased to offer residents and contractors the opportunity to become better acquainted with the codes, ordinances, and regulations which affect the building of a new structure or the renovation of an existing structure.

Many of the required forms are available online for viewing and printing from your computer. For specific questions, please feel free to contact any of our department members.

Permits & Applications

A 1% State tax is charged on all building permits except for Fences, Concrete, Tool Sheds, and Occupancy Permits.

Fees and required drawings are explained on each permit/application. Print the permit at home and fill out completely. Drop off at City Hall during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, with appropriate fee. Make checks payable to City of Wickliffe.

The "Before You Build: A Guide to Residential Permits" booklet is available at City Hall free of charge. The booklet contains information on permit requirements, zoning, building regulations, site planning, plan requirements, fees and inspection procedures.
