Planning Commission/Architectural Review Board

Meets as needed the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm on site at City Hall 28730 Ridge Road. The Planning Commission is charged with the duty to advise the Mayor and Council on matters related to the review and approval of all commercial construction and remodeling. It shall make standards it deems necessary regarding how streets, grading, water, sewer, utility, piping, and other facilities shall be installed to secure harmonious development within the City of Wickliffe.

Board of Zoning Appeals

Meets as needed the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm on site at City Hall 28730 Ridge Road. The Board of Zoning Appeals hears appeals on decisions made by the Building Commissioner or by any administrative officer on matters relating the Zoning Ordinance; for relief from any order, requirement, decision or determination, including the refusal of permits; and may decide appeals by reversing, or affirming wholly or in part, or modifying such order, requirement, decision or determination.

The Parks & Recreation Commission is charged with the duty of advising the Mayor, Council and Recreation Director as to the development, operation and administration of the public park system.

Keep Wickliffe Beautiful Commission  

Meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Wickliffe Community Center, 900 Worden Road. The Keep Wickliffe Beautiful Commission is a volunteer affiliate board comprised of 10 appointed members and a subcommittee of unlimited number. These volunteers address environmental issues, including litter prevention, recycling, and education.

Civil Service Commission

Meets as needed. The Civil Service Commission shall provide by rule for the ascertainment of merit and fitness as the basis for appointment and promotion in the service of the City of Wickliffe, as required by the laws of the State of Ohio, and hears appeals from the action of the Mayor in any case of transfer, reduction, or removal.

Environmental Commission

Meets as needed on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm, at the Wickliffe Community Center, 900 Worden Road. The Environmental Commission shall be charged with the duty of advising the Mayor and Council about ecological problems regarding the City of Wickliffe. The Commission shall recommend and advise the Mayor and Council on the adoption of programs designed to improve the environment and ecology of the City.

Cemetery Board

Meets as needed on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at City Hall 28730 Ridge Road or at a location designated by the Board. Wickliffe Cemetery is the final resting place of Wickliffe early settlers, veterans from the Mexican War, Civil War, WWI, WWII and notable citizens.  Researching cemetery records and preserving their place in history is our mission.
