WICKLIFFE RECREATION DEPARTMENT SPORTS & PROGRAMS 

SAFETY TOWN – Safety Town is a fun, interactive program that introduces safety awareness and preventive procedures to children entering kindergarten or first grade. Using resources from D.A.R.E., Coalition National Crime Prevention Council, Rescue 1 Fire Safety for Kids Inc., and U.S. Safety education is taught through various teaching techniques: a miniature “town” with streets, traffic signals, signs, buildings, and “automobile traffic” (tricycles) reinforce the traffic and pedestrian rules taught in class, trip to ACBC Fire House and a visit with the Wickliffe Police and Fire Departments. Classes will meet for 5 consecutive days (Monday thru Friday) for 2 hours per day and will conclude with a graduation ceremony. Limit of 15 children in each class. Session I: June 6 to June 10 (Session I is full!)  Session II: June 27 to July 1. Time: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Fee: $35 Resident/$40 Non-resident. CO-ED PEE WEE BASEBALL
League is based on the child’s age as of June 1, 2022; for boys
and girls ages 4, 5 & 6. Fee: $40 Residents, $50 Non-residents. Practice begins June 6. The season will run June through late July depending on number of teams and weather. Players receive a team T-shirt

JUNIOR “BLUE DEVIL” BASKETBALL CAMP – Instructors: Carly Palgut, WMS Basketball Coach. First through 3rd grade. June 21- June 24,   9:30-11:30 a.m. Fee: $40 Resident; $50 Non-resident. Held at Wickliffe Elementary School Gym. Registration and payment due by July 9. Limit 25 campers. For boys and girls entering grades 1st thru 4th in the 2022–2023 school year. This camp is designed to introduce campers to the fundamentals of the game. Emphasis on basic skills, dribbling, passing, and shooting as well as friendly competition. This is an instructional camp with minimal time devoted to games. Campers will receive a T-shirt. “BLUE DEVIL” BASKETBALL CAMP  REGISTRATION: HERE!

TENNIS FUNdamentals CO-ED CAMP – Instructor: Jason Moulton, WHS tennis Coach. June13, 14, 16 and 17, 2022 (No class Wednesday June 15th). Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Session I:   Grades K-3 – 10:00 am – 11:00 am –  Fee: Residents $40/Non-Resident $45 Session II:  Grades 4 & up – 11:00 am to 12:30 pm –Fee:  Resident $45/Non-Resident $50 Held at Coulby Tennis Courts. Campers should bring water or sports drink, and a racquet if they have one. If not, one will be supplied. Campers should come ready for a fun-filled week of tennis. Beginner campers will learn basic techniques of tennis, ground strokes, footwork, and etiquette. Advanced campers will sharpen skills in the area of footwork and strategy, etiquette, scoring, ground strokes/ spins and serves. LADY “BLUE DEVIL” SOCCER CAMPCamp Director: Steven Gribovicz, WHS Girls Varsity Soccer Coach.   K through 8th grade July 18– July 21, 9:00am -11:00am. Fee: $40 resident / $50 Non-resident. Registration and payment due by May 31st. Held at Orlando Park Soccer Fields, 30100 Twin Lakes Drive. For girls entering grades K-8 during the 2022–2023 school year. Girls will receive training in the fundamentals of Soccer: footwork, dribbling, passing, shooting, basics of offense/defense and conditioning. LADY “BLUE DEVIL” VOLLEYBALL CAMP – Instructor: Courtney Brassow, WHS Varsity Volleyball Coach. 6th through 8th grade July 11 through July 14 9:30 a.m.- 12 Noon Fee: Resident $40; Non- Resident $50 Held at Wickliffe High School Campers will develop and strengthen the fundamental skills of Volleyball. For girls entering grades 6-8 during the 2022–2023 school year. Each camper will receive a T-shirt. LADY “BLUE DEVIL” VOLLEYBALL CAMP: HERE!

PICKLEBALL- BEGINNER CLASSES! Learn the basics. Beginner clinics (or refresher for those who have not played in a while) Ages 16 and up. June 11 (rain date 18th) and July 9th (rain date 16th) 10:00am -11:30am Fee: $10 per person. nonrefundable), 3 minimum per class, 8 max per class. Sign up for one date: same information given at each lesson. Pickleball courts are located on the Jindra Park Tennis Courts. WICKLIFFE SOCCER CLUB 

The Wickliffe Soccer Club offers competitive soccer leagues for players of any ability and experience level. Seasons begin in the fall and last about two months, then continue in the spring for approximately six weeks.  In our split-season format, your registration and fee will cover both the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 sessions.

WICKLIFFE YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Sign ups take place in March thru June. Monthly meetings are held on 2nd Thursday of each month at the Coulby Park clubhouse, 28730 Ridge Rd, at 8:00 pm. Use Coulby Pond entrance for closest parking lot to the clubhouse. 
 

WICKLIFFE WATER DEVILS SWIM TEAM – REGISTRATION OPENS  3/26/22 

Wickliffe Swim Team 2022 Season Registration is Here!

 The Wickliffe Water Devils is a recreational summer team that encourages fitness, friendship and team spirit!

  • Practices start 6/6/22 and are weekday mornings or evenings
  • Meets start 6/11/22 and are every Saturday through the League Championships on 7/30 & 7/31/22
  • No previous competitive swimming experience is needed, just a love of the water and the ability to swim the length of Coulby Pool.

 Anyone signing up after May 7th will incur a LATE REGISTRATION fee of $10.

2022 Fee’s as follows: $100 – one swimmer,  $125 – two swimmers,  $150 – three or more swimmers
