It’s never too early to join in! Sports activities can help your children develop lifelong habits of exercise and encourage them to learn social skills beyond the classroom. Here is your source for sports programs, age 3 to 18, both city-run and community managed. Sports provide opportunities for physical development, learning, and sportsmanship. Help build your child’s character on a foundation of healthy competition and teamwork.
Wickliffe Water Devils Swim Team
Wickliffe Water Devils – welcomes swimmers in all age groups. Swimmers must have the ability to swim the length of the pool. Competition meets are on Saturday mornings at local pools. Fees: $65 one swimmer; $95 two swimmers; $120 three or more per family, with a $20 concession fee per family.
Wickliffe Community Center, 900 Worden Road: Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10am to 2pm. ($5 discount on this date) and Wednesday April 10, 2019, 6-8pm.
Recreation Hall above the old fire station near the Police Station on Ridge Road: Saturday April 27, 2019, 10am-1pm and May 4, 2019 11am-1pm ($10 late fee charged on this date).

Volleyball Open Gym – Supervised play on Tuesday nights for grades 4-8 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wickliffe Middle School small gym. $1 at the door. 3rd graders with volleyball experience welcome to participate. Program starts week of February 22 and runs through May 22, 2019. 4th Graders who are new to Volleyball are welcome to attend.
Friday Night Basketball Open Gym – Supervised play on Friday nights for grades 5–8 from 7:00-9:00 pm. $1 at the door. Program starts week of February 22 and runs through May 25, 2019. Wickliffe Residents only. Fridays alternate 5th-6th grade and 7th-8th grade.
TEE BALL/PEE WEE BASEBALL
COACHES NEEDED! FEE: $40 Residents, $50 Non-residents. All leagues will begin week of June 5. Season will end mid to late July depending on number of teams and weather. League you play will be based on the child’s age as of June 1, 2019.
Tee Ball (Co-Ed): Boys and Girls ages 3-4
Practice/Games will be played Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays. Teams WILL NOT play more than 2 days a week. All Practice/Game time will be between 6-8 pm. Practice begins June 5.
Girls Pee Wee Baseball League – girls ages 5-7
Practice/Games will be played on Monday and Wednesdays. Practice/Game time will be between 6-8 pm. Practice begins June 3.
Boys Pee Wee Baseball League – boys ages 5-7
Practice/Games will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practice/Game time will be between 6-8 pm. Practice begins June 4.
Youth Beach Volleyball League – Boys and Girls age 9-14
(Blue Division 9-11/Gold Division 12-14) League will play Friday nights, June 7 through July 26, games will play sand volleyball court at Coulby Park and Jindra Park. Game time will be between 6-9 pm.Fee: $25 per person. Register as an individual or a team. (Individuals will be placed on a team) Maximum per team is 6, minimum is 4.
Junior “Blue Devil” Basketball Camp – 1 through 4th grade
July 15–17, 9-11 am. WHS basketball staff. Held at Wickliffe Elementary School Gym. Fee: $40 Resident/$50 Non-resident. Registration and payment due by July 12. Limit 40 campers. For boys and girls entering grades 1st thru 4th in the 2019–2020 school year. This camp is designed to introduce campers to the fundamentals of the game. Emphasis on basic skills, dribbling, passing, and shooting as well as friendly competition. This is an instructional camp with minimal time devoted to games. Campers will receive a T-shirt.
Lady “Blue Devil” Soccer Camp – K through 8th grade
June 3-6, 11am–1pm. Camp Director: Steven Gribovicz, WHS Girls Varsity Soccer Coach. Held at Wickliffe High School Soccer Field. Fee: $40 resident / $50 Non-resident. For girls entering grades K-8 during the 2019–2020 school year. Girls will receive training in the fundamentals of Soccer: footwork, dribbling, passing, shooting, basics of offense/defense and conditioning. Each camper will receive a T-shirt.
Tennis FUNdamentals, Co-Ed Camp
June 17-20 Monday through Thursday. Session I: Grades K-3 – 10-11 am – Resident $30/ Non-Resident $35. Session II: Grades 4 & up – 11 am to 12:30 pm – Resident $35/Non- Resident $40. Cost includes T-shirt. Campers should bring water or sports drink. Campers should bring a racquet if they have one; if not, one will be supplied. Campers should come ready for a fun-filled week of tennis. Beginner campers will learn basic techniques of tennis, ground strokes, footwork, and etiquette. Advanced campers will sharpen skills in the area of footwork and strategy, etiquette, scoring, ground strokes/ spins and serves. Camp held at Coulby Tennis Courts and taught by WMS Coach Danette Cullinane.
Lady Blue Devil Volleyball Camp – 6th through 8th grade
July 22-25, 9 am to noon. Camp Director: Danette Cullinane WHS Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach, Held at Wickliffe Middle School Gym. Fee: $35 Resident/Non-Resident. Developing and strengthening the fundamental skills of Volleyball. For girls entering grades 6-8 during the 2019–2020 school year. Each camper will receive a T-shirt.

Blue Gold Running Club, Wickliffe Recreation Kid Fit Program – Boys & Girls ages 7-14, June 3 through July 29. Regular meeting days will be Monday 9 am – noon at Wickliffe High School Track. No fee to be Blue Gold Club member (Cash/Snack/Water donations accepted) Coach Todd Calic

Wickliffe Soccer Club
The Wickliffe Soccer Club offers competitive soccer leagues for players of any ability and experience level. Seasons begin in the fall and last about two months, then continue in the spring for approximately six weeks. In our split-season format, your registration and fee will cover both the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 sessions.
