Park History: Coulby Park was once the grounds of the grand estate Coulallenby, built between 1911 and 1915 by shipping magnate and Wickliffe's first mayor Harry Coulby. After Coulby's death, the mansion became a girls' school before the City of Wickliffe purchased the property in 1954 to serve as City Hall, and the grounds were developed into the public park that exists today. The park now features trails, a pool, playgrounds, ballfields and a pond, while the mansion remains an active city hall. The gatehouse of the original estate is now the Wickliffe Police headquarters.
