
NEW HIRE APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete National Testing Network exam online by October 6, 2025:
- Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
- Have valid Ohio driver’s license
- Be 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age
- Be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED certificate
- Must pass TRI-C agility test at 50% within one year
- Background investigation including:
- Oral interview and personal/work history
- Background investigation
- Psychological examination
- CVSA truth verification
- Interview with Chief of Police
- Post-offer medical exam/drug screen
- Completed applications can be submitted in person, via mail, or emailed to mmccaffery@cityofwickliffe.com
- Preference Points: (Maximum of 10% allowed)
- 10% Honorable Discharge from military service
- 10% Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Field
- 5% Bachelor’s Degree
- 5% OPOTA Certification
- 3% Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice Field
