NEW HIRE APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

• Complete National Testing Network exam online by October 6, 2025:

• Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
• Have valid Ohio driver’s license
• Be 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age 
• Be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED certificate 
• Must pass TRI-C agility test at 50% within one year
• Background investigation including:
  • Oral interview and personal/work history
  • Background investigation
  • Psychological examination
  • CVSA truth verification
  • Interview with Chief of Police
  • Post-offer medical exam/drug screen

• Preference Points: (Maximum of 10% allowed)
  • 10% Honorable Discharge from military service
  • 10% Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Field
